T.L. Hicks / Tracie Hicks was born in Taylorville, Illinois, in 1973. She graduated in 1992 and married the love of her life on Halloween in 2004. 

Tracie has PTSD, Social Anxiety, Excoriation, Chronic and Generalized Depression, and Maladaptive Daydreaming. She uses her mental conditions in developing her stories, revealing weaknesses yet overcoming them. 

Tracie is interested in the paranormal and created the Christian County Ghost Hunters Society in 2002. She investigated and researched the Christian County area in Illinois. Because of health issues, Tracie had to retire from investigating, but she still researches. She uses the information she finds to create realistic, horror, and supernatural stories. 

Tracie holds an Associate's Degree in Communications. A Bachelor's Degree in Fiction and Screenwriting. She also has a Master's and Master of Fine Arts Degrees in Creative Writing.

The bakery had been dark for three hours when Tonya finally opened her laptop. She sat at the small wooden table in the back room, the one Mrs. Bellamy used for paperwork and ordering supplies, with a mug of chamomile tea cooling beside her elbow. Outside, snow fell in thick, lazy spirals past the frosted window, each flake catching the yellow glow of the streetlamp on the corner. The rest of Main Street slept, shops shuttered, Christmas lights blinking their patient rhythm into the December...

My Nightly Prayer  Our Father, who art in heaven,hallowed be thy

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy Name,

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those

who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory,

forever and ever.
